政客在中文裡是一個負面的名詞，用以形容負面的政治人物。與有理想能為國家人民著想的政治家相反，政客一般是指罔顧國家人民權益，以特定的标签（例如政党的身份）寻求政治操作中的特定利益的人。
政客是機會主義者，以自我利益極大化為目的，自我中心，行為模式是損人利己，甚至損人不利己。在政圈中愛演戲，在野時扮演民意代表，打悲情牌，在位時難逃獨裁的真我。
政客在政治上位的手段非正途，造謠抹黑對手是其每日議程。政客熱衷政治，比關心經濟民生多。
西方语言里有两字与汉语政治家和政客相对。“Politician”像政客，有贬义含义，而“Statesman”像政治家，有尊重的含义。

Lettris is a curious tetris-clone game where all the bricks have the same square shape but different content. Each square carries a letter. To make squares disappear and save space for other squares you have to assemble English words (left, right, up, down) from the falling squares.
